The Big Canoe Wellness Collaborative is a non-profit, all-volunteer group which provides non-emergency and non-medical wellness services to the residents of Big Canoe. Programs include referrals (BC Info), meals (BC Meals), transportation (BC Rides), caregiver relief/respite services (BC Visits) and healthy living programs (BC Healthy Living). The organization was incorporated in 2014 and began delivering services in November, 2015. The Wellness Collaborative (WC) has only been around for a short time, but boasts a cadre of volunteers ready and willing to help their Big Canoe neighbors with referrals, food, transportation, and friendly visiting.
